Habits
Recently, the phrase “show me your habits and i’ll show you your future” has been on the forefront of my brain. What’s key to understand though, is that it’s saying: show me your habits…. NOT show me your to do lists or show me your work/success/ progress
Habits ground us. Habits create us. Habits root us in so we can reach out.
This year, especially traveling to such unique far away places, I was able to recalibrate and remember what habits make me feel at HOME even when i’m 10,000 + miles from my ‘house.’ This may look like getting up with the sun, starting every day with fresh fruit, writing down daily prayers, going for long solo walks, reading and documenting my life in photos … these aren’t my daily ‘to do’s’ but my GET to dos. Things that never need to be written down because they’re habits. They’re the “understood” part of any day and are highest priority in my subconscious mind.
I can’t walk confidently on the path laid out for me if I’m out of alignment, so simple positive habits that I can retain wherever I am physically and mentally keeps me in tune with myself and all the Lord has to reveal to me!
